Trethowans announces new business partnership and pantomime sponsor of Salisbury Playhouse
Trethowans are proud to announce a new and significant partnership with Wiltshire Creative’s Salisbury Playhouse, supporting the organisation as a key Business Partnership Sponsor and the official Pantomime Sponsor for the upcoming 2026 season. This partnership reflects a shared interest in supporting local cultural activity and contributing to the ongoing development of Salisbury’s creative community.
As a business partnership sponsor, Trethowans will play an important role in supporting the Playhouse’s year‑round programme of theatre, events and community activity.
Alongside the annual partnership, Trethowans will also become the official sponsor of Salisbury Playhouse’s award‑winning pantomime. The 2026 pantomime, Beauty and the Beast, will be the first production sponsored under this new partnership. The Playhouse has received several national accolades, including honours at the Pantomime Awards 2023 and 2024 and the Muddy Stilettos Award for Arts, Culture and Theatre 2025.
Trethowans’ support will contribute to the creation of another spectacular pantomime season, bringing joy to thousands of audience members and helping extend the reach of the Playhouse’s celebrated Christmas tradition.
Mike Watson, Managing Partner at Trethowans, shared his enthusiasm for the partnership:
“We are incredibly proud to strengthen our relationship with Salisbury Playhouse. As a firm rooted in this region, we value the vital role the arts play in bringing communities together and enriching local life. Supporting the Playhouse aligns with our commitment to investing in the places where we live and work. We are excited to build on this partnership over the year ahead.”
Helen Taylor, Director of Development at Salisbury Playhouse, is delighted to join forces with the firm:
“This partnership with Trethowans is a wonderful example of how businesses and cultural organisations can come together to make a real difference, and we’re incredibly grateful for their belief in what Salisbury Playhouse brings to our city. Their sponsorship not only helps support the ambition of our artistic work but also strengthens the wider community by investing in creativity, shared experiences and local pride. Collaborations like this are vital to sustaining a vibrant, thriving Salisbury where the arts can continue to inspire and connect people of all ages.”
This new partnership is a welcome addition to the firm’s existing sponsorships of the Theatre Royal Winchester and the Bournemouth Pavilion. Together, these collaborations reflect Trethowans’ dedication to championing cultural organisations that enrich the communities they serve.
